TO COMPENSATE FOR ELECTROLYTE LOSS AFTER EXCESSIVE SWEATING

During exercise, horses lose large amounts of fluid and electrolytes that are essential for proper muscle and nervous system function. A deficiency in electrolytes can lead to reduced performance, fatigue, and loss of strength and endurance. In more severe cases, dehydration and a deficiency of these essential salts can cause muscle cramps and dehydration. Please note that stress and high temperatures can also cause a serious disturbance in the salt/fluid balance without the horses exerting themselves. Electrolytes a highly complete liquid electrolyte supplement that ensures rapid recovery. Sodium chloride and potassium chloride restore the loss of fluid and essential minerals. Tip: always ensure that horses have sufficient drinking water to achieve the optimal effect of the electrolyte supplement.

Dosage:

Mix with drinking water, feed or administer orally by syringe

  • Moderate exertion: 50 ml to 75 ml per horse after exertion
  • Intense, short exercise: 75 ml to 100 ml per horse after exercise and the following morning
  • Intensive exercise: 75 ml to 100 ml morning and evening for 10 days after exercise
  • Clean and cool water should be available at all times
  • For foals and ponies, administer a daily dose based on body weight
