ELECTROLYTE SUPPLEMENT FOR RAPID RECOVERY

During exercise, horses lose large amounts of fluid and electrolytes through sweat. However, these electrolytes are essential for proper muscle and nervous system function. Electrolyte deficiency can lead to performance loss, fatigue and loss in strength and endurance. In worse cases, dehydration and deficiency of these essential salts can lead to muscle cramps and dehydration. Beware, stress conditions and high temperatures can also cause severe salt/moisture imbalances without equine exertion.

Electrolytes is an extremely complete powdered electrolyte supplement for horses that provides rapid recovery. Sodium chloride and potassium chloride restore the loss of fluid and essential minerals. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that has a positive effect on resistance and supports optimal muscle function and nervous system function.

Tip: Always ensure that horses have plenty of clean drinking water available for optimal effect of this electrolyte supplement.

When is Electrolytes used?

  • Before, during and after strenuous exercise
  • When losing body moisture due to high temperatures
  • At times of stress

Composition

Composition: Nutrients: sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, sodium bicarbonate.
Additives: glycine (2b) 100,500 mg/kg, sodium citrate (E331) 40,000 mg/kg, precipitated silica (E551a) 20,000 mg/kg, apple flavoring (2b) 5,000 mg/kg. Vitamins and provitamins: vitamin E (3a700) 5,000 mg/kg

Dosage

  • With moderate efforts: mix ½ -1 cup (25gr - 50gr) into the feed after exercise
  • For intense, short efforts: 1-2 cups (50gr - 100gr) after exercise and mix into the feed the next morning
  • Intensive efforts: Mix 1-2 cups (50gr - 100gr) in the morning and evening in the feed for up to 10 days after exercise

In ponies and foals, administer a daily dose based on body weight. 1 measuring cup = 50gr
